well, sort-of. 8-D The LED is kind of bluish and make the print on the keyboard glow a bit like a black light would, I say a bit, its kind-of. ;-) Yap another gadget from China. Unlike me it's not perfect. The clear plastic at the end of the fixture, overpass the metal housing and reflect the light and kind-of blinding you when you use it on a laptop but it's not too bad for me because the USB port is on the side of the keyboard. I like it and use it every day (night should I say) it gives a peaceful blue glow, an intimate light to bright up the keyboard. Don't eat-it you don't know what in it. I give it (4) stars.
Do you see Whatta-mine. Almost as good as an eggroll with won tong soup. Who did turn off the light at the end of the tunnel. Hey it's a working inexpensive gadget. Oh, should I say my keys are black and the prints are white, dah.On the dark side, there's no switch and it stay on when the PC is asleep or stand-by (can be good for some).
I would never use this for a full-size laptop because it doesn't light up much area due to a single LED. Overall, a very mediocre product for the price. A good, sturdy little light for a NETBOOK. I would give it a five, but it moves around the USB port when I try to adjust it out of the way.
It measures 18-inches from end to end, too bad they did not include this in the description. Got this item for $5 shipped, good deal but there is one major flaw, it's too long. It's not exactly handy sized and it would have been great if it was half that length so that it was space saving and can still be bent to illuminate the keyboard which is what most people would use it for.
It lit once and that was it. I have another usb light made by Kensington, that is very dependable.Apparently you have to give the product one star even if it didn't work.
It was a good buy for the purpose to view the immediate laptop area in the dark or low light. Easy, plug and play item.
